Found these two in the ghost shrimp tanks at the lfs I work at. I got another swamp darter but he got eaten by a pike cichlid the same length as him upon introduction. I'm thinking/hoping the darter is a log perch and I have no clue on the other fishImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409194747.364151.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409194823.450571.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409194831.325310.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1409194837.390257.jpg

The darter is another swamp darter.

The minnow is hard to IDed due to itself being blurred

There's a lot of minnows that come in with feeders from florida. I have one that looks exactly like that and I'm 99% sure it's a Pugnose Minnow.

Doubtful it's a pugnose minnow due to itself being a habitat specialist and due to itself being rare.
It appeared to be a Notropis species.

Thanks for ids guys. Just wondering the reasons and how I can tell if and why it's a swamp darter. It's very high bodied than the other one and has a small head in proportion to its body compared to the other definite swamp darter.

any reason why that minnow wouldn't be a fat head?
fathead minnow has incomplete lateral line. This fish in question has a complete lateral line. Also all fins are pointed where fathead minnow's fins are rounded.
