Im using fish as an ammonia source.Well I don't know if I'm wrong about this but I was under the impression that during cycling u shouldn't change water. I mean that u would want ur ammonia to spike at first for the bacteria to bloom to a point where it's able to handle that kind of load, same with the nitrite. So basically the first time u should change water in the tank u cycle is when u get a reading of 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and over 40 nitrate. When u change water before that point ur just making it last longer.
How long does it take to seed a brand new filter. Meaning today I hook up a filter to this tank how long until I can move this filter to another tank and it have bb
