I've lost hundreds, if not thousands in my fish keeping career. IDK how else to put it, but **** happens and often, the learning curve is steep.

Tiger fish are the hardest for me. Two goliath randomly die with water parameters testing OK. The third freaks out in a solo tank and smashed his whole grill in, face looked like I slapped him with a finishing hammer. So I tried vitattus, one takes the leap of faith out of a tiny crack and the next stops eating after 2 years and dies. This is over a4-6 year period.

I cannot keep them past 14" they always die on me :banghead:

I've bred cichlids, discus and rays but can't keep a African tiger fish to save my life.

Same here! A little less often now that i'm not buying a fish a minute anymore, but always mentally ready nowadays for some unexpected b.s to arrive on occasion
