Losing/lost his slime coat. That can lead to problems if not corrected.

Treat him with some of that slime coat stuff they sell.

What type of tank mates does it have? And how long/big is it?

When I got in my gars they looked like this as well. Mine healed up in a few days. Keep water clean and I added a bit of salt. Very likely that it will live

Gar is almost betteri didnt do anything just let nature take its course, if it worsens i will add salt and bump temp
