what does it look like now? They're probably 3-4"+ now depending what size it was then, diet and water quality. Would yall mind posting some current updated pics? I'm very curious about these 3 spot cichlids.

(Mods, before moving this to the photo lounge, I want to point out that this isn't a show off thread, it's for educational purposes. Can we leave it in CA/SA? Thank in advance.)

Just for big balton :) I just took the new ones now...lol Comparison....First few are when I got them....Next few are now....And the last pic is a real tri mac.....

Don't have her anymore

Well thanks for posting. Did you sell because you wanted a real Trimac? I notice that one didn't even have red eyes.

Actually your pic on my previous thread from August that someone revived is what made me want to see them now. I'm afraid it does look like a FH to me but it'll still be a fun fish to own for those who don't mind having a hybrid. I was thinking about getting one awhile back but am relieved that I didn't...I only want a pure Trimac. Are you going to keep both the petsmart FH and your new Trimac?

Thanks I really appreciate the updated picture.

Anyone else have a (more than 1") Petsmart 3 spot they don't mind posting?

All of who are considering a Petsmart Trimac...look at what you're getting. Still probably not a bad deal at $8 for a low grade FH.

It was a compulsive buy I made. I only have a 55 gallon and already had an adult male gold saum. LOL. I was thinking it was time for a change and wanted to go with the juvi fh and sell the GT. Couldn't do it. Gave the FH away. She was a majorly aggressive fish. by the time she was 4" she was the most aggressive fish I've owned.

Balton, before you yell at the mods, think a sec. FH's are hybrids- thus, this thread should not be moved to photos, but should have originally been posted in hybrids. ;-)

I understand. I had a GT for 8 years that I got very attached to. May he :rip.

LOL yeah I guess your right but it could have gone either way at the time I made this thread. I still think the thread belongs here to help educate our memebers about Petsmart's so called Amphilophus Trimaculatus by confirming that they're incorrect. Petsmart should get rid of the ID cards with the scientific name and simply call them 3 spot cichlid or Flowerhorn.
