This was sold to me as a "Gold Morph Jaguar" for $50. She is about 10" long and very healthy. The colors resemble a gold jag, but the mouth and snout shape is more like my Loiselli. So, is this a Gold Jag or a Loiselli or a Friedrichsthalli or a hybrid of one or more Parachromis? What do you guys think?

Here's the best shot I could get so far (she's camera shy)...

Here's a shot of my 6" female Loiselli for comparison...

And here's a tank shot (everybody asks for these anyway :))...

The colors in the first two are a little yellow. I think this is from the bright lights reflecting off the white sand.

As always, thanks for any and all help and/or suggestions. And thanks for this great forum.:)

There is the slightest tinge of red accross the back. There's also a lot more yellow/gold than the pictures show. Also, there's some blueish/greenish tint around the belly.

Next question after positive ID would be male or female?

Thanks again everyone.:)

Any more ideas with the new photos?:)

After seeing the new pictures it's definately a freddy. I have a smaller 6 inch freddy that looks exactly like yours. Does yours ever show a more prominant barred pattern? Mine does when it's displaying.

i'm going to throw a curve ball out there and say i'm not sure if it's a loiselli or a loiselli - freddy hybrid.
check out my male loiselli for comparison. the markings are near spot on. but the shape of the fish in question is what's kind of throwing me off, plus on occasion you can see bars, which i don't recall seeing on the male i had.
