Harvested from a different River.. I have heard the 'Sao Felix' variety is also coined as the 'Black Diamond' or 'Black Isle' variant.. with a more stunning and differing pattern.

Can anyone confirm this? Pics? :D

and heres a Leopoldi left, and a Leopoldi Sao felix (Black diamond) on the right.. Black diamond being distinuished from the multiple smaller polka-dots on the disc margin. (photo credits EzMan, thanks EzMan)

I duno... the two look completely different. They are both from the Sao Felix? Is not just pattern differentiation? I have seen ones like Ezman's but tysons seems a bit more one off... maybe I'm wrong.

I think that the 'Black Isle' from Tyson is a nice Leopoldi Eclipse or Leopoldi..

When the Sao Felix is the 'Black Diamond' from EzMan..

Someone will chime in and clarify :D

Dont know if this will help at all, but here are 2 that seem to fit what you term a Sao Felix... These were sent to me by my good friend Michael in Germany, thanks for the pics!

and by the way, Ezmans BD is in my opinion the best looking Leopoldi I have ever seen HANDS DOWN!! Anybody know if its a female or a male???

There is also a Sao Felix on the Xingu (where leos are from) about 70 miles south of Altimira. I second David's statement that you can't necessarily count on collection locality info being acurate. If a fisherman finds a really unique/valuable fish he wants to keep to locality secret.
