I haven't seen a gibby or L001 with this pattern.

Looks a lot stubbier than my other plecs too, almost like a slight short body.

that is awesome, how did you get it, its native to you right? do you catch other native fish there? it probably is fuscus., as indicus have this zebra pattern on the tail, which i couldn't tell from the first pic.

Platycephalus fuscus have to be at least 45cm(18") and no more than 70cm(28") or you can't keep them(usually to eat) in the state i live in. I think this one was collected from an area in oz where there are no size restrictions on this sp. Apparently it was collected from freshwater and has been in fresh ever since and is doin really well.

Platycephalus fuscus are also endemic to australia, so chances are you'll never see it outside of Oz.

I catch these guys in saltwater all the time, both of these were just over the 18" mark. Caught them by casting soft plastic lures over some sand flats near my house.
