Feds say to kill Sea Lions to protect Salmon fishing stock

sucks for the sea lions but good for the salmon. those sealions have been a MAJOR problem for years around here, pratically ruining whole spawns of salmon every year. nothing so far has worked, not even relocation. they just find their way back.
 
I don't like having the Sea Lions killed, but I think priority suggests that it's time to cancel the free meals.
 
Marine Mammal Act. If you don't want them taking all the salmon, don't deplete the sea of other natural prey. Blame the trawlers and dredges!
 
That's an entirely different issue, but trawlers are a bunch of sea poachers as well.

why save them? theres so many of them its not even funny! i think there should be an open season on them where ever they live. like they do in Canada, only let the public hunt them.

Its not a different issue...since the depletion of their natural food source has had a direct impact on them.

I dont think depleation in the sea is a major problem to this. Sea Lions are smart and if you offer any animal free food that ill it prefer go out hunting or massacering salmon who cant move. It like you going fishing or buying a can of tuna.... Point is the sea lions are exploiting this food. I dont think killing them is needed maybe putting fences.
 
the sea LIONS HAVE PROPER FODD BUT THEY ARE OPPERTUNIST AND ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR THE SALMON TO GET UP THE LADDERS.
