Here is the before pic. Basically a tank that had gotten out of hand. It housed Chester (the only fish I have ever named) which is a 22 inch Clown Knife that I've owned for 20 years. All I had in there was Chester and a 14 inch Sailfin Pleco that I've had for about 12 years. Then a buddy of mine wanted to get rid of some yellow labs. The bred like crazy for him and he wanted to pare down the population. Feeders for Chester. Well, he didn't get them all. I had 3 that survived. All males. And since they survived I bought some other Africans hoping they would too. Not so much. I would have to buy 5 mbuna and hope he only ate 4. Usually he ate all 5. So Chester is in a new home and I revamped this tank. Overgrown and under maintained.

So I gutted the tank and decided on white and black sand for a substrate. Normally rinse gravel in a gigantic sieve to get all the dust. Well the Sieve was too porous for the sand. So I just decided to let the filter do it's thing. This is an hour after I filled it up. Got Milk?
