Hi, and thanks for your comments. Sorry to hear about your dead ATF... Was there much aggression between your fish? There was with mine, they were on their own in my tank and really laying into each other, so I bought six Scissortails the same day. As soon as I put them in, they shoaled with the ATFs and all fighting stopped, they've stayed together ever since.
I know the scissors will be lunch sooner or later, but so far i've never seen an ATF even chase one, but we'll see, all i know is what i've seen so far..
Got a few Redeye tetras in there too, for future lunch, they're too big to swallow and the ATFs don't hassle them, also a 10in Black ghost knifefish.. everything stays well away from him! By the way, i'm feeding the ATFs on bloodworm, chopped fish, krill and the occaisonal neon.. the tank is 6ft, 130gal, has 2 external filters and one external heater. Here is a pic...
