I just picked up one of these a couple of days ago, and while I know that they like cool, clean water, and will eat almost anything that fits in their mouth, with brine shrimp, black/blood/earth worms, fish, & shrimp pellets being good for them. That they enjoy company, and with company will requie a 20L, with a tightly fitting lid to prevent escapes. and that the water level needs to be lower than with a fish for easy access to the surface.
I also know that they live up to 15 years, with some of the oldest living as long as 30 yrs.
My questions:
How fast do they grow?
What size can you tell gender?
my albino is about the size of a quarter now, and it almost looks like it has a little bitty tail on it's backside, but when I look closer, it just looks like the skin on the back of their legs. I'm not sure what to name him.
He's currently in a half-full 1 gallon with an undergravel filter, A) so he can reach the surface easier (he had a 10 gal) and B) because I need that filter running.
Thanx In Advance
