i have just got mine to start eating pellets as a diet suplement. and they are getting Jack's aquarium and pets(brand mane) tropical med. pellets, and i am looking to see what you all feed your if they are on a pellet suplemented diet b/c the pellets i have are a generic brand and they are so small i have to put ALOT of them in the tank to feed the 12 3-4" reds i have so i am looking for your input to help me decide what to get them this weekend. I will be doing a "little" shopping at the LFS and will be picking up some pellets along with other things

any and all help is very welcome. plz add the namebrand and what exactly they are so i can ask if my LFS does carry them

hikari all the way... some people like to use just one type and others like to use a variety, but hikari cichlid gold or bio-gold are what i like to use. my current batch is being fed the bio-gold and i'm really liking the results, i have the mini pellet floating type for now and i'll switch over to the medium pellet when they're big enough.

this is good stuff guys thanx alot i just hope i can get some of these things so far the tetra cichlid sticks sound the best im going to do a search on tetras website and see what i find

I sent tertra a e-mail asking some ?'s aoubt there products but i was wondering if anyone here has tried the cichlid color sticks ? (or is it just hype)

I was using Spectrum Thera +A by New Life at the recommendation of the lfs, but after all the good things I hear about Hikari I decided to give it a try.

I use a mix of large size Hikari Cichlid Gold, and Hikari Bio Gold+. They love them, and since they float on top, I can just scoop out whatever they don't eat.

Good job getting them on pellets.

i WAS feeding mine hikari cichlid gold.. but i stopped since the pellets are too big for them right now.. i got medium sized pellets and i guess they can't fit it in their mouth.. ~.~ so i might go buy mini pellets..
