Correct me if I am wong here.....The tubes are the backing, right????The holes are for the fish to swim in and out of, right????You gona paint the pvc dark green and thread it with fake bamboo leaves too????Leaving the holes open to the water current will only allow debris to fall in and collect in the pvc, you do not want that.......If this is the case, then you will have totake every tube out and clean them every month.....COol idea anyways.....

looks like he cut each tube in half, so at least hell be able to clean them.
