I've had several people ask me about how my filter is setup and how it works so I'm making this to show how simple it is.
Here is the overflow. Just as simple as it looks...PVC
This is right off of the overflow inside the tank. I placed a valve in this tube to shut the flow off to the filter if i needed to (for service) or to slow the flow if needed.
These pix show where the overflow goes into the stand and into the filter...pretty self explanitory.
Into the bioball chambers.....There is a hole drilled over each box and a drip plate spreads it out over the bioballs. (the white stuff is the prefilter) The second pic is the second chamber, and that end of the pvc tube is capped.
The outlet to the pump is shown here.
That connects to the pump (the valve again is for servicing and flow control before and after the pump, incase the pump was to fail i could turn water off on both ends of it.) sorry about the cat
the pipe then runs outside of the stand and tank just like the overflow and then returns on the opposite side
This is breif so if there are any questions just ask.
