Found my baby silver arowana dead today.
Went downstairs to feed him and found the glass top open, then realized he wasn't in the tank, and found him a few feet away on the carpet with blood/feces stains around. Completely solid with some blood out of its mouth. Apparently he jumped hard enough to break the clip I was using to hold down the lid.
I raised him from 2" with an eggsak until the 23" he is at today. And he was one of the first fish I bought when I started out the hobby.
I started a thread about him a few months ago:

Kinda ruins my plans as pretty much any new fish I may introduce to that tank won't be compatible with the jardini and clown knife. Plus the silver was dominant so no one else got aggressive with each other.
Sigh. Just wanted to vent. I put the Silver in the freezer and looking around for a local taxidermist before I even think of doing anything new.
