Had to put the Jag back in the 5' x 20" x 22" tank.He decided tank mates in the 6' x 2' x 2' was not going to happen anymore(This was a spur of the moment decision on his behalf). He beat on the Pearsei , RD and the Jardini of about 16-17" now.The Jar is sporting a nice wound to his side at the moment but it should heal ok.Anyway this left me without tank space for the Dovii so I had to buy another tank. All has worked out fine for now.I measured the Dovii but forgot to with the Jag when I moved them. The Dovii is over an inch bigger than I thought.Anyway here is some pics of the 2 newly made neighbours and the Dovii with a ruler who is now over 12".This gives you a real impression on just how big the Jag is.Believe me when I say the size difference is much more noticeable in person then the pics portrait , he really dwarfs the Dovii.:)

WOW! That jag must be 18"+? And what size is the new tank? Did you buy new or used? None of these questions are as important as those fish though :) Holy Moly!!!!!

I'm actually a little disappointed that I didn't measure the Jag .There is a bit more commotion moving that guy than any other fish I own so it just slipped my mind.I knew he had grown since I got him but a guess is just that,a guess.Measuring the Dovii at least has given me some perspective. The New Tank is 4' x 2' x 2'.New.It will do the Dovii for another 4"s then It will be spending time again.
lol. I always thought I'd need a bigger house because of kids, fish never entered my mind:cry:

18K? Wow, a lot less Bluer than I thought. I'm running 4x54W 10000K's on my tank at the moment, but wanted a colder tube to bright it up a little, was planning on swapping one for a 14000K but might go 20000K by the looks of that, very clean.

The Power Glo is a good white light that still has a clean natural look as long as long as you don't run too many sticks. IMO, It is the best I have found so far in tubes for bringing out a wide range of colours.

Awesome Jag and Dovii.. I've been looking at the Powerglo myself but have heard it gives off a pink tint, I do not see that in your tanks, guess I was misinformed.

I envy you! i am jealous I wish my jag was that big. Mine is only 8 inches tops and has grown maybe 5" since last september. I have a pretty big female though at around 11". Soon to be getting a Dovii as well for my 400. I just hope my fish turn out as well as yours. You have one of the best collections of fish that I have ever seen. Even though they may be a little on the common side you still beat everyone out there with SUPERB specimens. Good Job!
