Quarantine Tank
So im planning on redoing my Squirttle tank and need some input. For those of you who dont know squirttle heres an old MKF story about her...

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42157&highlight=squirttle

Ive decieded to finally give her a another tank but I want to place LOTS of smaller fish with her. I plan on sand substrate but cant deciede on the filler fish.

What would you have with her? Please note she will be alone in a big tank hence I will have to buy LOTS of little fish to fill the tank up!

I was thinking about Neons, but they bore me. Then I thought perhaps 100 tiger barbs? rummy nose? black shirts? albino danios? or maybe a gianormous mix of small fish!!! what do you think?

Ideas?

dont they eat smaller fish?

She is only able to catch slow fish.

She is hella slow, besides if she can catch a giant danio or tiger barb then she is welcome to it!

get a 100 fancy goupies :D

I think a large school of tiger barbs would be nice, don't get any of those green or albino ones though they are nasty IMO. That turtle is awesome do they need land and how big do they get? I want one!

they are full aquatic but can breath air, I believe they get around 12" but they are mondo expensive because they are illegal for export from their natural habitat....

interesting idea.....

this way they could multiple into the thousands!!! :nilly:

I just looked at the link with the story, that was too cute lol!
Maybe you can do a mix of small fish...that's what I would do. :)

Yep I would do a mix. Maybe bunch of pictus cats, then a hellabig school of serpae tetras, and maybe a school of topwater fish like hatchets. Those are all quick and should survive. I'd be down with the tiger barbs but they'll likely nip at the cats and I think a school of pictus would look cool.
