Hello everyone, I know I havent been on lately, well xbox realy took control.

But I need your guys help with a very sensitive subject.

I am in grade 12 and Prom is coming up and I was thinking of taking a girl with me. Their is a girl in my math class that I would like to take. She doesn't even know me but she is very pretty and smart.

I have never been to a Semi or dance of any sort, I am very ockward because I don't talk much when I'm with people and I can never think of something to say. Tonight I'm waiting in line to get GTA 4, I pretty much play a ton of xbox. My grades arn't the best but I plan to be a mechanic. I own a car, and have never been on a date before. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Interest in movies: Transformers, Indiana Jones, Star Wars
Interest in music: Rap, R&B Hip Hop, random.

Do I have a chance? What do you guys think?

I'm 31 and waiting until tomorrow for GTA4 if that makes you feel better, as for the girl thing, go for it you never know what might happen. What is the worse that could happen, ask her quietly if she says no and tells all her friends that you asked deny it happened and say something like, 'what me take you?' Whats the best that could happen, you get to take a girl you like out. You'll never know if you don't ask.
 
All you can do is try. If she says yes then focus the conversation on her interests.

Better to regret asking than not asking at all IMO

Gr8, In my parts of the holler that is perfectly acceptable!

Z, go for it. If she says no look at it this way...youll save $150 on a tux, $50 on a dinner, $40 on dance tickets, $40 on alchohol, and the agony of blue balls when you drop her off after thinking you are going to get some. Seriously dont ask me how I know!
 
Worst she can do is say no....If you do not ask, you might regret it forever...If you ask, you will not regret anything either way. Grade 12, almost done, now is the time to do any of those little things before it is all over. This is one of life's highest highs! I, myself, have absolutely 0 regrets about anything in my life.....nothing feels better.....Good luck Luc...

lol i agree, just go for it. it could turn out to be an awesome time.. you never know! if you dont ask her, i think you will regret it.
just go for it:) if she doesnt already have a date though..

Well since I don't drink or smoke....

Yep already bought a suite, and the tickets are rediculously high but its worh it.

I will ask her and let you guys know how it goes. Just one thing thow, I want it to be like something like a "casual" ask and not straight forward. Like after class one day, should I call her over to the side then ask insted of infront of everybody?
