i finally started my project. i'll have a 130 gal in 2 months so i started this weekend my sump and stand. heres how it looks so far.

a look at the divisions of the sump (a 25 gal...i know i'll need more filtration....dmmm)

me ready to attack the silison job

here are some handles i fixed with fishing wires (not sure about the words here...fishing wires...nywaz) for the drip plate and the sponge support

and the almost final product.

and now, a bit of the stand. see the 6 feet beam and me haha

hope you enjoyed a bit! at least, i did...

next steps will come in 2 weeks. i work too much since then to continue my project, but man i can't wait.

so feel free to leave your thoughts!

WHOA!!!!! haha haven't been around for a while!!!!

ok well the whole project is finished now (it's been running for more than 6 months now) so i'll post you the rest of the pictures!!!!

since i plan on moving in the next 2-3 years, no need to make it too good looking

this is the moldings peinting step

quick first look on the stand

cannopy that will be hung over the aquarium

now the fun part: DIY 3D background!

here are the 3 colomns, 2 for the sump and one for my eheim 2217

here are the water returns hidden in the background

the background is covered with concrete and garden sand
i did one thick coat, but i recommand 3 thinner coats. my background makes plates that gives the impression that they'll enventually fall

water test

and now, some pics!

that's it! sorry for being soooooooooooooo late! haha i totally forgot this thread!

hope you guys enjoyed!
