I just got a pair of these for my 300 gallon freshwater tank.

Can't say enough good things about them. Cheap, very bright, and uses 1/16th the power I was using with 4 40watt flours.

And they shipped super fast.

only thing bad I can say about them is I am used to 10,000K bulbs so going from that to 7000k lights is a bit of an adjustment at first but considering what I am saving on power I could care less.

hmmm interesting. so these plug in directly into the wall or do they fit in your old housing? got pics of how it looks on the tank?

everybody always talks about LED lights but nobody ever posts pics :nilly:

Yes, more info, please! I've been very interested in LED lighting but have yet to pony up on the $$$ for the ones offered so far.

I will post pics later tonight. I now have all my aquarium lights as LEDS.

They plug directly into the wall. These are the first time I have tried anything other than ones from digikit.com but they never respond to emails lately so I moved on.

On my 4 salt tanks (Soon to be fresh) I was able to DIY a string of LED housings on a single laptop power supply, so I power 4 tanks worth of lights with a single 40w power suppoy. Not too bad.

I will get pictures of those as well.

cool, looking forward to the pics. did you find that the light output on these is the same or better than the flourescent tubes? i have T5's running on my tank and im not sure if LED's have the lumens output to match what i currently have

wish i had the money now.... they would be perfect for my 90 gallon...

Cant wait for the pics!

wow! i have moonlighting, but never thought of the white ones for daytime.. cant wait to see your pics, i wanna see what it looks like..

i have been looking at led lights for a while now. trying to gather as much info as possible before buying about pros and cons. not many cons but a lot of pro's.
