I just want to know whats the basics for an arowana that big? Hes going to be in a 2500 outdoor pond in FL. Housed with turtles, large fishes (oscar, gar, flounder, wolf cichlid, and catfish). I love to get this guy as big as possible, ASAP. But whats a normal feeding regiment like? An anyone have any with distinct personality? Thanks!

*pS - My oscar an pacu used to eat from my hand, now the turtle joins in, think the aro will to?

i would advise against hand feeding the aro unless your looking to inflict injuries on yourself lol
I think you'll be fine

it is always advisable to start with a juvie aro to gain experience first but since it is already big, you have lesser problems that juvie aro keepers have.. go for it bro!

on the contrary, a big, grown adult, is the best way to enter into arodom....

i agree with you at some point because skittish, eating problems and others are no longer the problem.. but i am speaking of the experiences a juvie aro keeper will have..:D:D

well we got him today, and hes doing fine in the pond with the oscar cat gar and wolf cichlid. Hes a jumpy bastard but i think he'll mellow out in a couple days. He always follows me around the pond looking for food lol.
