I have been conditioning this guy for re-sale ever since I rescued him.. He is now displaying AMAZING coloration, nice dark stripes with some very nice speckles.. Also getting color flux in his finnage, and he is getting more attitude each day. Starting to show the ice blue around his fins and lips, like a texas would.. He would be a great addition to a monster CA/SA tank, as he has the attitude of 2 of the meanest fish out there.. I would love to see him grown out to monsterous sizes!

Anyone interested in this awesome 8-9" Texas/Convict hybrid, price is $50.

I will also throw in another 'Convict' hybrid that I have, for free.. It's parents were a pink convict and blood parrot, so it definately has an interesting body shape and appearance. This looks to be a female, and I have been trying to pair them off. :)

I will try to get better pics later, that do it more justice.

He looks like a giant convict!

Its a great looking fish, I can see the Texas in it. I am sure the pictures don't do it justice either.

We have been power-feeding it too.. Since its been on its shrimp diet its colored up alot since this pic was taken about a month ago. Its black bands are getting very dark, and those ice blues, reds, and yellows are really starting to come out.. Not to mention he dosn't hide nearly as much. I will try to get a video!

for anyone who is thinking..."well...this fish is cool, but kinda dull" or somthing like that....think again, i saw it in person yesterday! VERY COOL! the pics wash his color out, he is a very nice looking fish. very very cool!

You mean the Archocentrus sp. "Honduran Red Point"? that are actually Blue and not red? I'm aware, but they have more of a blue flux in there body.. Trust me, the Convict Hybrid is wayyyyy different.
