add salt, its right by his mouth, should i try and remove it or see if it falls out in the next couple days?
 
I would wait and see. My male was stung by a 6 month old pup. THe stinger worked its way out in a few weeks.
 
Oh man! That's no good. Let us know how things progress.
 
I agree with miles and spotfin. I have had rays sting each other before and they healed up just fine. I have also seen females try to sting males when they aren't in the mood to breed.
 
Let it work itself out. Got a picture of the wound?
 
yeah i can, its not in very far, she had two stingers at the time but it looks likeit got pulled out of her so im hoping to get some breeding action soon, she is around 11"
 
i have had this happen before my female leo had a stinger stuck under her mouth it was in pretty far
i used my feeding tongs and pulled it out
there was no way i could leave it
it was driveing me crazy every time she would move aroubd it seemed to jab it in more
