Rhamphochromis esox

Well i figured i would show you all my cichlid of choice. My male Rhamphochromis esox. He is almost 9 inches and he is really starting to color up nicely, i will get better pics of him soon. He is currently beeing housed all by himself, with some smaller "target fish" if you will. His jaws teeth and mouth are extremely large. His jaw strength would rival any SA cichlid easy. His long and slender profile make him one of the top if not the top predator in lake Malawi. This fish is extremely rare in the hobby and is by far my favorite cichlid. He will hit anything that hits the water like a torpedo and is suprizingly a very owner interactive fish. According to a debate over at WW, they are saying that they are skittish and flighty, my guy is a bully and couldn't be any less scared of movement around the tank. I am currently trying to hunt down a female and start a breeding project. Thanks to FishKing for hooking me up with another crazy fish..let me know what you guys think of him..

look at this wild male.. incredible.. definately the same fish.. the yellow caudal fin the blueish dorsal and anal fin and the giant head and jaw..

thanks for all your kind words. he is a great fish.. and words cannot describe the fish in the add.. that fish is awe inspiring. one day my male will look like that.. like i said if anyone knows where to maybe pickup a female please send me there way..
