mn tank for a pair of oscars

you coulde get away with a 75 probably.

I find the rule most people have for oscars is 75 gallons for the first fish and another 15 gallons for each addiotional fish, so 90 gallons or more.

I'd say 100G, you'd want the one with I think a 5' x 1.5' footprint. A 90 is just a taller 75 so not much point there, might as well keep them in a 75. Oscars are territorial and moody, if you've got 2 15" O's in a 4' tank and they decide they hate each other there's really nowhere for them to get away from each other.

Bottom line, I'd hesitate to keep a pair in less than a 125, but you could get away with a 100.

90g with good filtraton should be adequate. If one oscar is going to snap it won't matter if your tank is a 4' or a 5'. You just have to watch out for aggression.

Agreed. :D

I agree you could get away with a 75 with good filtration. A 90 is better than a 75 for water quality. Though only 15 gallons, it's still more. The bigger the better though, so get as big as you can.
