Was treating a mild case of ick, no big deal. So I feed my juvenile Ocel's last night. All is well. Feed them this morning, all is well. Feed them around noon, business as usual. I just got home and all 3 of them are dead. Had them about 3 weeks with absolutely no issues other than the little bit of ick that just popped up. I havent been gone more than 4 hours. WTF could have gone wrong? I could f'n explode right now.

to much feeding? once a day for those guys or if the ich did it they must have just had a really bad case

I dont know what it was. I fed them 3 times a day but not very much at a time, and the ick was just barely noticeable, only thing I can think is that the Rid Ick that I was using to treat it killed them.

may have used to much ich remover oh wait let me ask you this did you remove the carbon from the filter before you put the medicine in the tank please tell me you did???????

Its just under gravel filtration in this tank, they were just there on standby while the 210 was setting up...

hym thats very wierd i'm sorry brother I have no idea then its crazy with fish sometimes you take every little step to make sure they have what they need and then one fine day gone and you feel like its your fault well sometimes its just a guessing game that can drive you crazy let it go and try not to blame yourself it prob just a whatever which is something we cant help

Well let me ask this, when you run a tank at 85 degrees would it be necessary to add extra oxygen to the water via air stones or something? Cuz I know that warmer water = less oxygen. Ive never run a tank as hot as these Pbass like to run at. Now that I think about it I turned my heater up 2 degrees before I left here from lunch to help with the ick. Its sitting at 85 degrees right now, which is what is recommended anyways. If more oxygen is the case then I likely suffocated them.

:iagree:Thats a good point, i reckon the ich medication and the lack of oxygen was probably to much to handle for the little guys. Sorry for your loss bro. I hope you get some more bass soon and have better luck with them :)
