heres my new 120g

Stocking:
1 Tiger Oscar
1 Red Oscar
2 Senegal Bichir
1 Ancistrus dolichopterus
1 Megalechis thoracata
(and maybe two ghostshrimp)

I'm kinda curious to know what kinda Oscar I have. The fish lady said Ocellatus but I dont think it looks like one (used my google-skills to figure that out, might as well be one)

Also, is it fat or just have a really thin jaw? Sry for the bad pics but aqua-photo is apparently harder than it looks

did they tell you anything else about the fish's origins? was this fish purchased at a regular pet/fish store?

Beautiful Oscar. The LFS just might be telling you the truth. It looks a lot more wild-caught than the tank bred ones given its got more of a stripe pattern than a blotch pattern. I have 5 Oscars but not any wild-caughts though so I'm no expert.

yea it does Woofy O.o kinda. Do you know what yours is?

The fishstore I bought it in seems very dedicated so I have no doubt they could import wild ones, though it was the only one of its kind together with a shaol of red O's so I guess they got a mixed package ( Couldnt even tell it was an oscar since it had such a pointy mouth)
Does wild coughts usualy get the orange colour or do they stay "white"?

Anyone has experience with fat fish? I feed it Staple, goldfish pellets and some shrimp, and about once a day so Im hoping its just the way he is. Wouldnt want him to die at age 3 or something

(the driftwood came with the tank. Everything included it cost me $455. Boyaka!)

The Aquascaping in that tank is real nice! The Os are cute too.
I've fed all my Oscars Hikari Cichlid Gold, then moved onto Hikari Food Sticks great growth and colour..

You don't want him "fat", that's not good. Feed him a good quality pellet like Cichlid Hikari BioGold (not goldfish food) plus spirilina (good for all fish) & 'fresh' foods like bloodworms, shrimp & mussels (only a few times a week not every day), earthworms, bugs, zuchinni, peas....etc....then he'll grow strong and healthy. If he's genetically programed to become a 10" or a 16" Oscar then he will. The #1 MOST important factor in Oscar health, growth & color is low nitrates-tons of water changes. Low nitrates is what make them grow fast and color up nice. I guess I'll just keep saying that, eventually it'll sink in to someone somewhere :)

Here are some more pictures of my guy. Hes a bit bigger now. I have no idea what kind he is. I saw him at the store and saw how unique looking he was and just jumped at the chance. Whats most intruiging about this pattern is the white coloration mixed with the bright orange. Its sooo pretty.
