Saw a couple of threads about these guys and thought I'd share mine...
Had him for about 2 1/2 years now, I reckon he's nearly doubled in size! Doesn't like things with stripes, so chases my Clowns a bit and likes to sit over my big airstone gettin' a jacuzzi at the back of the tank, so don't see him all the time!
He's been out and about for the first time in ages this week, so I grabbed as many pics as I could, but he's a crafty devil and seems to know when I'm gettin' the camera out!
Eats sinking catfish pellets - him and the Clown pack have a battle royal when it's feeding time! - and he's slowly destroying/eating all the plants, but I don't mind as long as he's healthy.

Great looking fish ;)

Looks good...

That's a big one! I know they take a while to get to that size. Very nice fish, including the loaches!

I love these fish. I had one about that size that I got for 10 bucks because the store couldn't get rid of him. He and the younger brighter one I had kept for 18 months died one night when I screwed up and didn't notice my tank wasn't getting oxygen though. Worst night of my fishkeeping life. It's funny you mention how he's not that social - part of the reason the store couldn't sell the larger one was that he never came out. I bet he swam in the foreground a lot more when he was younger. My younger guy sure did. It's funny that you have one photo of him with a convict - my original guy used to play with my convict all the time.

Now I have a large lusosso and a baby sexfaciatus (that cost 5x as much as the giant one). The little guy is really feisty and eats like a pig. He has already grown an inch since I got him in June, while the big one is generally calm (only gets mean when the lights are out but I have a reading light on in bed - very weird). I keep them with datnoids and they all get along well. I'm hoping to take good enough care of them so that my little guy can grow up to be a real monster.

Haha! Brilliant - that last pic could be from my tank!
Wonder why they get on with Cons?!
Great pics - lovin' the baby one!
I'm amazed two very similar lookin' Distichodus could get on together like in your picture.

On an ironic note, since I posted this thread, my 6 bar has been out every day! Hasn't done that for ages! Must know wer'e talking about him!
