as the amount of food i am adding to the tank is really not that much even if he ate it all

NO, none of the tankmates are missing if you are thinking so........ ;)

i really have no idea whats going on
it eats well, swims well, chases the GT well :D, and bullies many others well
its belly seems to be growing larger and larger by the day

any help is really welcome :)

Gulp...Did you ever think there could be something wrong with that fish? That abdomen looks abnormally distended to me.

Are there rocks in the tank??Is there any missing ornaments like maybe marbles or other small things??How long has he been like this??Otherwise he is a very nice looking Jar.

that is what i am asking
is there anything i should worry about
is there any disease that causes this kind of systems, i searched i did not find anything
i have stopped feeding it too, since yesterday, it was somewhere around 2 days ago that i noticed a slight swelling and i did a head count, to find all the fish intact, to my surprise.
i hope nuthing is wrong :(

there are chips in the tank as substrate

it has been so for nearly 3 days including today
yeah i know he is great, especially the barbells(i am sorry but i am a little conceited about his monster barbells)

That don't look right, hate to say but looks to have an intestinal blockage or maybe a tumor.

Wish I had something to add that would help:(

OMG
:eek::eek::eek:
is there something that can be done

Looks like this came on suddenly, the pics you posted just a few days ago show know signs of this whatsoever. I wonder if there is any conection to the head wound, probably not.

I did some research on intestinal blockage, and only helpful suggestions are frozen peas with the skin removed and brine shrimp. Still no way of knowing for sure if this is even the problem. I'm sure it's not bloat or dropsy because of the localized swelling, but at this point you may need to treat for just about any possible cause.

I'll keep searching see if I can find any more info

Just gonna post info as I find it

Does the anal area look red or swollen?

From; http://www.arowana.com.sg/diseases.html

5. Stomach Ailments

This occurs when fish is very young - mainly due to eating stale food or it may have been injured by the sharp pincer of the prawns causing the internal wall of the stomach to be infected with bacteria, resulting in a swollen belly.
Symptoms
Initial stage - Swollen stomach with a red swollen anal region. At the advanced stage, the Dragon Fish may be seen to have lost its balance dipping its head downwards.
Cure
At the moment cure is limited, but commercially available fish medications may be given and water may be changed with temperature increased by 2°C to 3°C.
