I know these species don't tend to get as much attention as parachromis, amphilophus, vieja, and so on so I was wondering if anybody was keeping any of these? I've never been a fan of africans or any of the "ca/sa dwarves" but compared to most of my collection I've always kind of considered these sub species (along with thorichthys) "the cool dwarve cichlids" although I know they're not really "dwarves." I jumped into the hobby a little to fast (as most of us do) and have that feeling that I just always need a new fish. After discovering these guys, it's a little easier on my fish and my tank space. Whenever a thread pops up with a "what should I put in my ##gallon tank I always suggest cryptoheroes.

Anyways.. Here is what I'm currently keeping and have kept.

cryptoheros cutteri -8 or so of them, almost of breeding size. I just have to pick out my favorites and get them in a tank by themselves. Seems as if everyone is keeping them these days but easy to see why.

cryptoheros myrnae -2 picked them up separately at a auction for $1 each, hopefully I have a pair. Not the most attractive cryptohero but definitely something different.

archocentrus centrachus -7 also from a auction, nobody bidded on them other than me so $1/7fish fry was not a bad deal in my opinion. One of my most anticipated fish I own but they're currently between 1.25-2" and show no color whatsoever, yet.

archocentrus nigrofasciatus (convict) -964,000+ who hasn't kept these? Lol!

??? spirulus -4 also from a auction, paid a whole $2 for 4 of them 2"+. Not very colorful but one of my favorites. Just got them in a 20gallon by themselves tonight, hoping they are large enough to breed.

??? honduran red point -4 got them from a auction, neat fish but lost most of them to ick and never got a chance to breed them. Never purchased more because everyone seems to be keeping them these days anyways.

Anyways, I'd like to see some pictures/info on what you guys are currently keeping / have kept. The guy I get my fish from will have some nanoluteus , and some gold morph sajicas soon. I really like sajicas but am fond of the gold morph, I will most likely be purchasing some of his nanoluteus off of him though.

I'm also trying to get any type of thorichthys I can get my hands on locally but have had no success yet. I might be getting some pasionis soon but its not for sure. If anybody has any thorichthys (aside from firemouths) please feel free to post them up.

I apologize now for not including pictures but most of my fish are still grow outs. I look forward to see what everybody else posts up though.

I dug through my photos to see what I could get, heres some of them.
