Picked up three pieces of large driftwood pieces today from the beach (it's the Pacific ocean, not a lake.)

Wondering the best way to cure the wood so I can safely stick it in my SA tank?

It's currently soaking in bath water upstairs, thanks :grinno:

They are wicked big pieces, I can't just fit them in a pot on my stove. It's for my 100gal, and one of the pieces is damn near the size of my leg lol.

Keep them in the tub change the water out 4-5 time per day use hot water and after a week if the ocean small is gone it should be good.

I did the same with a 3 foot piece that I currently have in my tank but it still has the clear fuzz on it. I had it soaking in my tub for about 5 days, changed water twice a day with HOT water, added aquarium salt, flushed it, and poured boiling water on it for the final soak. All of this and the clear fuzz still occured so I'm not sure what to tell you.

would a metal garbage can and a burner from a turkey deepfryer work for boiling big pieces like yours???
