As anyone who has kept these fish knows, it takes years to get them to this size. This male will develop a good sized nuchal hump when kept with other large male cichlids. Dominant fish, amazing eater. Does well with small fish. Hate to see this guy go up for sale.

It was housed in a 210 with a large male A. festae, male midas/devil, female midas, male P. synspilium, male P. splendida, among others. The only fish it couldn't stand was a 12" male G. brasiliensis.

As of this moment it's in a 60 gallon with a 4" exC. grammodes.
