This is some stuff I picked up for free during the month of December. I was very fortunate to be friends with many a gift horse. Behold.
1) 65 gallon tank complete with stand and canopy. The thread for this thing is at http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202063 It had some serious water stains and was neglected for years. I hope it's now happy.
Came with a small Duetto filter and a Python gravel vacuum. You've all seen those, so no pics of em.
2) A 5 gal tall tank complete with the biggest Betta I've ever seen, rocks and decorations.
The owners think its a female betta. "She's so aggressive and picks on every fish we put with her, so she's a loner. She sticks her gills out and puffs up her tail. It's so funny"
I didn't have the heart to tell em that's actually what the males do. Regardless, they had him in a 100 gallon all by himself for several months so that's why they thought "she" had gotten so big. He really is huge. I took some pics of him next to my fingers but they're blurry, and honestly...who cares? He's hardly monster.
3) From the same people:
A 10ish gal Eclipse (dont know exact gallonage) complete with a really beautiful male Betta (they knew this one was male), gravel, decorations, filter, lighting (all the usuals w/ the Eclipse system)
4) An Exo Terra terrarium.
They had put the light right on the screen and it warped somewhat.
I didn't get the tank next to it in December, but I did get it free a few years ago. Here's a pic, since that's how we like to roll 'round hurr. It's a 29gal tall
5) A 10gal complete with decorations, filter, lighting etc etc. Been sorta neglected for awhile, but it's all in tact. I ended up putting the filter on the 5gal tall for the female/male betta. works great and is dead dead silent.
I also put the rock decorations into the 65 gal. My goal is to set the 65gal up without spending one cent on it.
Here's the filter from the 10 gal that I put on the 5gal
Here's another shot of the stuff inside the 10 gal. Nothing special
6) Some misc aquarium stuff. Lighting, air pump, water pump.
Hand for perspective
7) 80lbs in tank gravel. Like 7 bags. Pic just cuz you like em. 2 of these bags went into the 65 gal. It's pretty ugly stuff and filled with jewels and such. meh. Free is free.
8) A 5 gal terrarium with a cracked bottom. Complete with screen top. Should be fixable w/ just a bead of silicone. Wont need to hold much substrate for some fresh hatched anoles or something equally cool to my kids. A dumpy frog or something. You understand
9) A chameleon terrarium complete with a few holes in the screens, and decorations
Its surrounded by lots of crap at the moment because...um...well...I got nothing. I'm lazy and it's there and so was the crap so it gathered together. Heres a few more shots of it
What else?
Oh yah
10) 18, YES eighteen pieces of glass. Ranging from medium to large.
Wonder what I'll do with those?
That's about it. Tell me what you're thinkin. Thanks for readin
