That has to be one of the most amazing creatures Ive ever seen

Thank you soooooooooo much for posting V

Also Vicious question made me remind of something

I have a really old iguana care book and aparently as it states, there were private and public colections outside Galapagos that had land iguanas Conolopus subcristatus under their care. It also saws they like it hot, they will eat grasshoppers and that they are easily tamed! Unfornatly probably none of thouse are left under private hands

(this was from a time in wich even top zoos had trobble keeping iguanas ALIVE, for example under my info the longest living captive green iguana untill 1940 was a specimen that London zoo kept for 4years and a few mouths!) If they only had better husbandry skills we pherhaps were engoying thouse lizards descendents today! Tecnicly Conolopus is obteinable as it is under anex 2 of CITES, but because they are integrated in a World heritage park they are very unlikely to ever be traded at least legaly
