Need help with finding endemic hawaiian plants or animals with a type 3 survivorship curve. Meaning an organism produces a lot of offspring but, many do not survive the early stages. The ones who do survive live a long life (an example: green sea turtles, but not endemic to Hawaii) ONLY FOUND IN HAWAII PLEASE!

mola mola
hawaiian dragon morays
hawiian variants of basically any fish
green sea turtles

Here I am taking a study break and get a question about survivorship curves....Well, I guess it shows that I remember something from ecology class last quarter since I remembered what a type 3 was....

I'd say a good majority of fish have a type 3 curve. Fish normally produce hundreds (if not thousands or millions in come cases) of offspring to have a very small percentage of survivors into adulthood.
