I figured that my some of my grow outs may start pairing up and breeding soon. Most of the fish are between 3" and 4.5". To my suprise I found a few fry and even a juvi (about 1") in my growout tank. There are a mix of all three species mentioned currently in the tank. I am going to get a pic of one of the larger ones posted shortly. I totally was not expecting this. I wanted to cherry pic a few pairs and find homes for the rest. There are some pretty cool looking little guys. I did post that one looked like it was ready but was totally not ready for this! Grow outs are in a 110 gal with lots of driftwood and rock caves. I also thought that all of the cats and plecos in the tank would have taken care of any eggs.

I scooped this one out and put it in a critter keeper. Pic was taken with a flash. The fish is about 1.25" in size. It is a little chewed up but I kinda like it!

Definately a keeper! The pic does not do it justice! Looks kinda washed out using the flash but the poor thing is in a critter keeper at least until I can clear out some room in another tank. I'm gonna move some of the fry into the other tank. I am also going to list some of the cats and plecos as free to a good home.

I'm pretty sure this is mom. She is the largest in the tank and just laid again. And I am about 90% sure this FH is the dad. I know for sure that he is the father of the latest batch. The FH pic was taken when my daughter first got him. His kok is much larger now but his color is off being in a more natural tank and with all of the messing around. lol Here are the pics:

Sorry about the dirty glass. Anyway she sure did change color!!!
I am going to have to make some room for some of my other grow outs. If anyone is interested in her let me know. I also have a few others that will be looking for new homes.
