The F0 pair of Motaguense from the Rio Blanco, Honduras are breeding again. I caught the pair right when they started laying and fertilizing the eggs.
Here's the female. The eggs are right underneath her head on the left side of the rock. Since I have taken these photos, the female has covered the rock.
The male ready to do his part.
I noticed that almost immediately after the female lays the eggs, she gets behind the male and "nudges" him into action.
The male is about 11"...developing a nice nuchal hump. You can see the the eggs clearer in this photo.
