Hi.. As some of you know I recently converted my 120 gallon 4x2x2 discus tank into a geo/angel setup. The tank has a sand substrate and lots of dw. The current inhabitants are 6 1 1/2 inch orangehead geo babies I got from EdBurress, 6 dime/nickel size angels, 10 lemon tetras and one adult koi angel.
The adult angel has been in the tank for quite sometrime and I did a complete rescape before adding the others. So far the adult male angel has accepted evryone else being in the tank. I wonder as the babies grow can I expect to have aggression issues between him and the other now baby angels or the orangeheads as they grow?? I know if pairs form this might be an issue. But do you think it could happen sooner and if so when should I expect to start seeing it.. Thanks Pics below so you can see how the tank is setup.Sue

I would love for them to be together for quite some time and do realize when the angels grow and pair some may have to go.. But do you think the male will be a problem before then?? Thanks for looking ..Sue:D

Very nice setup.

My guess is you will probably be ok, you have lots of dw etc in there to break things up. I've had angel pairs with singles in much smaller tanks without issue, and also angel setups with pretty decent size disparities without problems. Just watch it, but I imagine they'll be fine.

But personally...I think you need some cories :)

Hi Sue,

Great looking tank, just beware that Geos and Angels will eat your tetras
I lost over 40 Rummy noses to my geos and angels...

My angels and geos are adult size, so you might consider moving the tetras when they are bigger...

Surprisingly the whiteclouds are still alive in my tank.

Looks great Sue!!!!! Is that driftwood from spunjin(Sean)?

Keep this thread bumped..... I would love to see this tank as it grows!!! Gonna be a real looker when they start coloring up:)

Hi everyone thanks for the nice comments..
Peter.. Your wood is "in the mail"..HAHA.. Sue:ROFL::ROFL:
Repz... Thanks...yes I know they may or maynot make it and that's ok.. I lost a school of about 30 rummys to my rescued sevs in a day or so.. didn't have time to even rescue any rummys..The sevs were night stalkers LOL.. My angels never attacked anything except guppies.. so we will see.. Maybe your white clouds just don't taste as good.LOL:ROFL::ROFL:

CTU2fan.. Thanks.. I hope they can all stay together for quite a while..At this point I think the geos and angels have the bottom covered.. no left overs.. But like you I do love to see schools of cories and I know the sterbai would like the temps....

Ed... Thanks... Your babies are doing fine.. I really think they have grown already.. These pics are last week.. This week you can see alot more color in their fins.. They are eating the nls pellets along with the big angel so no more crushing anything.. ya!! They all still get flakes as well as frozen bbs and shrimp pellets so all is well..
I promise more pics when I learn how to take better ones and when the babies are big enough that you can really see their colors.. Thanks again for the kind words.. Sue:D:D

Not sure about the tetras. Lemons are pretty big no? Deep bodied tetras I though. My angelfish would devour small tetras like neons etc but I always had good luck with deeper bodied tets (serpae tetras in particular)...though the angels would go after anything that came near their spawn of course.

Didn't even think about those sand-sifting geos...I'm sure they keep it pretty clean. But the sterbai's would look very cool.

Hi there..
Jamie... yes most of the dw is from Sean.. The geos are loving dw diving ... kinda like dumpster divin.. HAHA.. Glad you like the tank... You, Ed, Peter, Japes and a few others are my enablers with the geos..:ROFL::ROFL:
I will try and update as they grow and my photo skills hopefully increase.

Bigriver... Thanks.. I think for right now I'm not adding anything else until everyone grows a bit.. but thanks for the suggestions...Sue..:D:D
