Looks like an infection or some type of skin disease. Prazi will do nothing for stuff like that, prazi is to kill other organisms like flukes, lice, etc... BINOX BINOX BINOX!!! for the first time I used it for my first ever fungus type of infection and it works great!!! temp to 86-90, 1 tblspn salt per 5g and follow the directions on the binox bottle. My ray looked and acted better after 1 dose but in my case the infection has lef a few scars or blemishes but he is still alive. my rays were also with other fish and no one was adversly affected by the treatment. Good luck and use binox. it cant hurt. After using it and still keeping rays I will always have it on hand. Hope this helps

I am interested in this as my female ray has a similar thing. I noticed it a couple days ago. It hasn't moved and nearer the edge of the disc it looks like some kind of egg type thing but on the side nearer the middle of the ray it looks like it is part of the skin like a wart or blister. My ray seems fine at the moment eating well and breathing is fine. I have not seen any worms in the tank and feed frozen blood worm, prawn and massivore pellets. Any ideas and should I be worried?

I had exactly the same globules on a small area of my Marbles disc,it was a result of a bite from the female when she was getting harassed by the male,i left it for about two weeks before gently scraping it off with a surgical blade then salting the whole tank....it never returned.During all this the fishes appetite didnt change,i feel you have a gtreater problem than those cosmetic globules. Can i ask are these globules scattered all over the disc or just in one area,i would guess just in one area, theres a lot of mucus on the fish, this could be a reaction to various treatments, these worms you mention are a bit puzzling too,i dont think for a minute the globules are connected to the loss of appetite.
Dont rule out the obvious...White spot! though not often a disease associated with rays they do contract it and all that body slime is classic symptoms.
I wish you all the best.

Thanks Richard. I did notice a couple weeks ago that the male had biten her in the same place as the globules so lets hope that is all it is as the ray seems perfectly happy and is eating loads. I will keep an eye on things and keep testing the water.
I wish you luck with yours crystal clear exotics.

Hi Nikki,
thats nothing to worry about on your ray,the next time it gets a suck or bite in that area it will most likely burst and disappear....the patterns looking good by the way.

Thanks Richard
The ray is coming along nicely now and I just hope they breed soon. You never know this bite might be the start!
