Personally I only kept pgyo natt. before (aka red belly piranhas) and that was before the era of digital camera. will have to try to see if I can find some of my old school pictures so I can scan and post them here.
But for those who has great pics for their pgyos, post them up~!!!

looking great Armand, love their red color.
Thinking about getting some rbps for myself now.

Keep them coming.

I had a nice crew of cariba, why did I get rid of them, so stupid

I really want to get a single speciman orange piraya

I originally wanted a shoal of caribe for my 180g tank but they were never in season. if I do get them when they are in season I'll have to either get an other tank (which is difficult) or sell my black diamond and move the blue into 75g since they grow very slowly. very tough decisions....
I'd like to get a single yellow piraya but they grow too big. :(

Here's a pic very nice yellow piraya I took at Shark Aquarium.

that picture is amazing, I love looking at it. But lets be honest, if you get piraya they are not going to realistically out grow your 180g at least not for 10years.

but you are like me, I like to feel good about the fact that the tank is not nearly too small for the fish, but most piranha experts would say a 6" rhom could like in a 75g for a very long time

Yes I know, that's why the decision is so tough. I can probably house 3 pirayas in a 4'x4' tank for a very long time if not life. I think foot print is more important than gallon amount. if caribe can keep their color through out their life, I would consider caribes too.

how long did yours kept their color until they start to go away?

Back the the same old question again, why can we have more monster tanks or just more cash~!!!

I never kept mine to the point where they lost their color, but i know what your talking about.

more money in my pocket = 72x36x25 with huge rhom and a 500g tank with tons of assorted pygos

oh yea, and even more money equals a single species tank for every species and locality

how long have you kept them? I tried to find out how long it taes for them to loose their color but on one ever gave me a straight answer.

I'm just wondering, if Bill Gates is a big piranha fan then he must have THE MOST IMPRESSIVE collections of the world.
