These will, of course, be painted black (Epoxy on the inside and outer lip, and latex black on the exterior). They will be in our living room, near our 360, back-to-back. They will be sitting right on the floor, so that we can easily reach in to feed the inhabitants.

I'm not sure if I'm going to have them on the same water system or not, but I've got a fluidized bed filter, 2 in-tank sumps, and a Fluval FX5 or two to slap on them when I start cycling them up.

I also still have to figure out a way to build a lid for these. I was thinking PVC frame with clear plastic pulled over it, but how to set up the hinges and such... any ideas?

So the question is, who is best suited to live in these? What combination do you think would knock Ashley's socks off? Any ideas on decorating / setting them up? Any help would be appreciated!

Haha, I feel the same way. I just want some advice on what would look the best, and wouldn't eventually lead to an overcrowding situation when they are fully grown.

By the way, they are each 523 gallons. They are 4' wide and 8' long, as far as footprint goes. How many adult rays (medium sized, such as Potamotrygon motoro or P. leopoldi) would you keep in one of these?

Anyone tried mixing neon tetras and rays for a self-replicating snack bar?

Don't last long enough to reproduce but it looks cool for awhile. Nice tanks btw.

Thanks. :) If I introduced some cover (maybe caves or other decorations), do you think that would create a spot for enough to survive for reproduction to carry on? Just a thought.
