make it your hospital tank.....unless you already have one. other than that feeders......you are a monster fish keeper right???

Hospital or quarantine. If you already have those bases covered do what I did and get an eclipse 1 hood and put three pee puffers in it. The little guys are an absolute blast.

lol thanks everyone... yeah i already have a hosptal tank... guppies? lol i already have my other 10 with breeder guppies so yeah :D.

You could set it up as a small reef aquarium. I can tell you how to do this, but it may require me writing a couple of pages of text. Read about filtration so you have a clear understanding of how it works. You could just use a couple of internal filters, such as eheim. You do not necessarily need a skimmer, but you must have live rock. You only need the filters for mechanical filtration providing you fill the tank with about half live rock. Better still would be an canister filter, with loads of sponge and filter wool in it. You can also add bags of any chemical mediums if you wish, such as phosphate removers. Loads of live rock in the tank. Small t5 light bulbs in a small hood, you can use guttering to build this. You would need some glass or plastic to keep water of off the bulbs. You should have actinic and daylight spectrum lighting, and make sure that the tank is in a cool room. Around 18-30w You have to add marine salt to pure water in order to make up salt water for the tank. We use pure water so as to avoid all the nasty chemicals in tap water. You can by ro water,’ pure water' from a local aquatics, or buy a RO unit. Try RO man. You need a hydrometer or refractometor to get the water salinity right, which would be around 22-28 sg. Aim for around 25sg. This measure is standard, but not the same as ppt. You could stock the tank with small coral frags. Aim for a turn over rate of around ten to twenty times per hour, you can just use bulkheads instead of filters if you wish, as the main filter in the tank is the live rock its self, which is porous and provides a huge surface area for bacteria. You should however have some form of mechanical filtration. For example, the canister or internal filters with sponge of filter wool. You can stock the tank with small hermit crabs, small molluscs, and some small coral frags. This is a really satisfying project, but you also need to test the water and gain a full understanding of filtration in aquaria. You could have one or two small clown fish, and shrimps. This is the most colourful thing I can think of which you could do with such a small tank. I have had reefs this size, and it is possible to have a fully functional reef this size. Do a quarter water change each week, with the method I mentioned above. You also need to regularly measure the tank salinity, and keep it around 25 by just topping up with ro water, not tap water.
