My brother and I have a 90gal Malawi tank. Would it be safe to use a garden hose to refill it after a water change. It's right by a door and would make things SO much easier. I'm gonna check the water quality on it myself.

Yeah, be careful about the temp. I know on some days down here, the water at first can be scorching hot.

I let mine run for 30 seconds before putting it to the tank for that reason. :grinno:

okay, that didn't work. THe house changed the water temp about 7ºF after about a gallon. I fixed it though.

It's the same water (technically) that is coming out of your kitchen faucet, just mostly a constant temperature which you can't control. Other than that, it's the same.

It sounds like the garden hose is working for everyone but to be sure you can use an RV hose that are meant to supply drinking water for an RV. They are usually white. You can get one at the local WalMart in the RV section or an RV shop.
