My DIY Sump Design

So i'm getting ready to start working on my 55g sump. This is a rough sketch of what i plan on building (sorry i didnt use fancy computer software like you guys:)). soooo, will it work properly? anybody see any issues?

I think that is the most sure sump design there is.
just make sure the plastic peg bord is sealed around the edges as to only alow the water through the peg holes.but Im sure you thought of that.
post some pics if your done.

Thx for the input guys! Now about sealing the pegboard, ive though of it, but how can you seal so it's not permanent and easy to remove?

I used silicone on mine and just cut it out every couple of months to clean the bio. It is kind of a pain so I am now thinking of a tighter fitting drip plate and a rubber seal from a window or an automotive door seal.

I wouldn't bother with sealing the drip plate. If you are worried about water spilling directly down and missing the bio, just add in a ledge to force the water to spill on the drip plate. You may lose a little water down the sides, but it probably won't be enough to matter.
 
as long as you paint the arrows on the sump just to let the water know which way to go, it should work awesome!
