My First Lung

I got this little SAL yesterday. He has been out exploring almost constantly except (of course) when I got out my camera. Here are some very poor pics of his current setup (not much to look at-20H a little over half full with some driftwood, various floating plants, and a sponge filter-but I have plans for a slight upgrade a few weeks from now into a nice little biotope setup) and a very blurry pic of him. I'll keep this thread updated occasionally with pictures of his growth and tank upgrades (of which there will be many)

Yeah, he needs to come right up front like he was doing yesterday and earlier today. Of course the time he decides to get shy is when I have my camera with me
 
Ok, he finally decided to come hang himself right up front in some of the floating plants, so I got some better pics (although the glass is pretty scratched and smudged)

I love him....

Ive only seen one real life.... A fish store i always went too 100km drive away had a 20+ 3ft Australian lungfish but the only place (only place to actully buy cichlids and not guppies and neons lol) in 1000km radius closed due to ran out of their lease on the shop and closed + selling everything in the shop i think they got like 4-5k for him from a musuem (was still healthy and amazing)

Id love one :D:D:D
But there an protected fish here and you need a permit which is very hard unless your a retailer or something :(

This little guy is a South American, not an Aussie. I would LOVE to get an Aussie lung, but that's a long way down the road.

This little guy is growing pretty well. He's around 4" now.
