The Ultimate ORINOCENSIS ID Guide

So, with all this mystery surrounding cichla orinocensis and the different variants, i think we should put together a thread to help folks out. I found this, and i havent seen it posted before, so i think this is a good starting point.

What i'd like to do is have folks with orinos where they know the ACTUAL collection point, please post pics and list the collection point. Also fishing pics work great, as long you can list the river.

after scanning through this, this is the best piece of information i can take away from this. this here is the answer to everybody's question of whether it's columbian or venz

Although C. orinocensis has a fairly wide distribution including two major drainage basis, there is no obvious geographical correlate in the variation in morphometric or meristic characters and the colour pattern variation cannot be organised geographically
