"HELP..." TSN won't eat. (has sunkin in tummy)

Catfish expert needed. My TSN has not eaten for 2 weeks. I just read the fish health diagnostics page and I need help please.

1. 110 gallon tank
2. API liquid test kit. Amonia 0, Nitrate 0, Nitrate 20
3. freshwater
4. Established for 2 years
5. stock list - 24" Tire track eel, 14" TSN, 4" red ear slider turtle, 4 adult parrot fish, 5" female flowerhorn, 12" unknown black catfish .
6. N/A all fish original to tank
7. 82 degrees farenheit
8. Never any live plants
9. A/C 110 for mechanical filtration, 7 day filter rinse. Large air driven sponge for biological filtration.
10. 15" airstone. 190gph powerhead for surface agitation.
11. No sunlight. 1 48" florescent tube on timer from 6pm - 12am (6 hrs)
12. 50% waterchange every sunday with substrate vacuming.
13. pollock chunks fed mon,wed & fri. these are grocery store bought. Chicken liver every 3 or 4 weeks as a treat.
14. The TSN is swimming against the current of the A/C 110 about 75% of the time. This is not usual behavior.
15. NO treatment of any kind yet.

In reading the fish diseases I only found these that said anything about loss of appetite or weight. Tetrahymena, Chilodonella, Capillaria. could any of these be my problem? Heres a pic of him. He has a sunkin in tummy that worries me.

He has always been right there to get his share of the food at feeding time in the past. Now he shows no interest in eating. I have dropped it in front of him. I have tried following him with food in front of his nose. He even refuses his favorite. (liver)

I have tried his usual, pollock. Liver (his favorite), Night crawlers and Hikari pellets. Yes he ate good before, He was always there at feeding time where the food gets dropped in the tank to get his fill, 1 or 2 pieces of pollock about the size of my thumb. About 2 weeks ago is when I noticed him not eating. Now I am getting worried by the sunkin in tummy. I have read in countless threads that a fish wont starve itself to death and I have experience with my redtail going on a hunger strike for a month (different tank/pond). But if he is ill and cant eat I need to do something. If it wasnt for the sunkin tummy I wouldnt know anything was wrong cuz he is active and cruises around the tank, he even has a new activity of swimming against the current like a treadmill. He never done this before 2 weeks ago. I dont know what that means.

Can you give me a link to where this garlic use can be read about in detail? How much garlic, How to administer etc?

TSN died. 07-04-09
Can someone identify the problem with the gill material. I never seen this till I was inspecting the dead body. I am sure this is the cause of death. 50% of the gill material is eaten away and black.
