going by eye shine i see at least 40

thats an awesome setup. i love how natural it looks

A place to visit when I'm out there. Thanks for sharing.

those are NOT Pygocentrus Nattereri~!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I am, those are actually Pygocentrus Piraya.
That would be the largest shoal of piraya in captivity that I know of. That's a lot of cash in that exhibit.
They even have a piraya picture on the information board and calling it red belly piranha (pygocentrus nattereri). that's false advertisement and provide wrong information to the general public. Next time someone go visit should point it out to their exhibit manager.

Thats what i thought too. An exhibit of red bellies should have fish with red bellies should it not

That looks alot like Amazonia at the national zoo in
Washington DC. Its pretty cool, they have tons of piranha, 5 foot arrowana's and other 7-8 foot fish in and tank about the size of my house, then you go up stairs and its like a rain forest. its pretty neat.

very good jack! p. piraya all the way

Yeah, that sure looks like piraya to me too. Man, but I live in Denver, and I was pretty sure those were reds. Next time I go I'll try to get more pics and also, I'll let them know that they have labeled them incorrectly.
