So, we upgraded the water flow in the pond... by like five times! We were running three pumps, and getting about 3500 gallons per hour, at most. Bought some new pumps... running three pumps, getting about 12,000 gph now. They are 5,000 gph pumps, but as you can see in the pic, some elbows are involved, and those decrease gph. Either way, about 12x filtration for my guys! Pictured are the pond's only inhabitants, Guido (RTC), Mr. Pacu (larger Pacu) and Little Pacu (you guessed it). Water is a little cloudy still from installing the pumps (hubby went for a swim), but not nearly as cloudy as the pics make it look!

Yeah, I can try! My camera is awful. Have you seen my construction slideshows in this same forum? They show the whole pond all the way through the process!

The best I can do tonight, as Bob is asleep in the room with the pond, and I'd rather not wake him up snapping photos (yeah, we still haven't moved upstairs). But soon, I'll get up some new, full pond shots.

hi just found ur post, how big are your fish???? nice waterfall flow but i cant help think if you had black pvc you wouldnt even notice it

Hi! The fish are 22-24" (RTC) and 20", 18", and 14" (Pacus). There are more photos in my albums. A pacu has been added since this post. As for the PVC, it would probably look A LOT better in black, but this is what Home Depot had, so this is what we got... If you view the slideshows here (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266564) you'll see that the pond was supposed to be sealed with beige epoxy, which would have looked way better, but it leaked. So, I guess what I'm saying is, at this point, we've given up on the "looks" part of the pond, and are focusing on the fishies! Also, my husband has to go for a swim in order to install this stuff, so he's probably really happy with the white PVC LOL.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

lol they're all still babies!!!!
to be honest im not fussed about the looks, i'd prefer cheaper "tanks" and spend more money and time on my fishto make them look nicer and are better quality.

sorry but how do i check the albums dw just found out lol ive actually been on since '07 but sort of lost track of time and its taken me 2 years!!!! to make my 2nd post

i'd love to swim with my fish just need a home big enuff think my 1st place will have a "rumpus room for the kids" lol

LOL it's never his favorite time when he has to swim with them.... I'm always worried a Pacu will take a nibble out of his leg, or something. But they pretty much stay out of his way. The way you look at people's albums is by clicking "Personal Gallery" under their name and avatar on the left side of the thread.

lol yeh if i was a guy i'd be slightly worried about SOMETHING get nipped at

Thanks again for the help, i think i just needed the extra posts to finally see the cool pics

Wow that looks really nice :D and your fish probably like the extra filtration a lot.

Are you planning on getting any more species?
